Knowing what your VvE consumes is the foundation for smart decisions. Our partnership with MeterMonitor makes this possible.
Why monitoring matters
A VvE with a charging facility deals with growing and fluctuating energy consumption. Without insight, you cannot tell whether charging points are overloading the connection, whether there is hidden waste, whether your energy contract still matches actual consumption, or what you can substantiate at the AGM.
MeterMonitor: intelligent smart meter reading
MeterMonitor.nl is our sister company and reads the VvE's smart meter at quarter-hourly intervals. Based on that data, the platform provides three functions:
- Dashboards and reports - insight into the VvE's total consumption, broken down by day, week and month. Ready for the AGM and annual accounts without extra manual work from the property manager.
- Alerts for anomalies - automatic notification for hidden consumption, a faulty solar panel inverter or unexpected peak loads. You know about it before it costs money.
- Charging consumption versus total consumption - what share of total consumption comes from the charging points? This comparison is essential for substantiating the cost allocation between EV and non-EV members.
How the connection works
MeterMonitor reads historical P4 data via an official data feed - no hardware on site, no installation at the property. Data is available the next day at quarter-hourly resolution. That is more than fast enough for alerting and reporting.
Why this matters for your VvE
Monitoring is not a luxury - it is the foundation for fair cost allocation, timely problem detection and substantiated energy advice. The combination of our Charge Point Operator (CPO) platform and MeterMonitor data gives a complete picture: from every kWh charged to total building consumption.
